My name is Jerry Sims, and I’m The Happy Toy Maker.
I started making these toys for my two boys 20 years ago, and the rest is history! Everything is built and shipped from my shop in Happy, Texas. I have some incredible people that help me build toys, and my mom paints almost every toy that leaves the shop.
I’m constantly working on designs and tweaking plans for new toys, so be sure to check back when you can or sign up for email updates just below. All the toys are made of steel, so they’ll truly last for generations.
I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who has bought toys from me over the years. One of my favorite parts of the job is getting to watch the kiddos play at shows I travel to. I always appreciate it when you send or tag me in pictures of your kids too!

My wife, Patrice, handmakes all of the animals and little toys you see on the website. She makes casts out of the toys she hand carves and then uses a sturdy resin. She paints each and every toy. Like me, she’s always coming up with something new to make.
We realized it was hard to find store-bought animals that fit in my toys since they’re big. She makes roping steers, horses, cowboys & cowgirls, dogs, unicorns, wild pigs, chickens, and so much more. Be sure to check out all of them on the Accessories page!

This is my mom, Patricia. She’s 78 years old and paints 90% of the toys that leave the shop. She also helps me with a lot of the behind-the-scenes business like keeping up with payments and orders.
